So I did this illustration for my class about two weeks ago with a blue whale, just like this and just in ei squareish canvas. Sky..only 'cuz it shows imagination. Who wouldn't want to sail on the skies....hmmm, good drawing idea. Well, that was done t raditionally. Might also upload it, dunno.
I liked really much that decided to make it digitally and make some changes to it. I added the killer whale, which is the tiniest one I believe from all whales, while the blue one is the biggest. I was like 'why not both together? as if they're different kinds of whales but the bestest of friends.'
Anyway. This took some days to complete. Or two weeks. lol.
Love it, like it, hate it. I don't care. : D well, I do, so just epxpress your thoughts… xD
Meaning of this....you can be friends with someone totally different than you but can still get to share many similar ideas and thoughts.
Background along the blue whale is one layer. One layer for the killer whale, and another for the birds. Three freaking layers. Si.
To be quite honest this is a breath taking work (in my opinion) that immediately makes me think of Fantasia 2000's whale scene if it were ever continued. It's one of those pictures that when you see it, you can see them moving immediately as if its a gif that plays in your head when you bring your arrow over it.
I know that was an out there example, but its what I have for the time being.
I love how you show the scale of the whales by having the birds at the bottom as opposed to the sides of them so our eyes aren't distracted from the Orca or blue whale.
The rainbow of course is great touch to add any other colors we're lacking. All in all this is an awesome piece
Oh man, the two whales are just awesome! I love that they're really different in size and that they're floating in the clouds. Your coloring is, as usual, soft and therefore lovely.
It's as though the heavens have he animales that have once been on the soil of Earth. Dancing an everlasting bliss that will always be grand. I think the seagulls are around Moby Dick though. You know, the whale that looks like a white island.
I know that was an out there example, but its what I have for the time being.
